Electric Vehicle Deployment and Integration in the Saudi Electric Power System

The demand for electricity in Saudi Arabia has grown the last few years due to growth economy and population. country invested many solutions such as promoting renewable energy shifting generation mix respond this growing demand. However, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are used an important factor achieving Vision 2030 its environmental economical parts. This work gives overview on electrical system then investigates impact EVs technology sector relevant consequences. A statistical analysis is quantify number of EVs, travelled distance traffic congestions, State Charge (SOC). data were implement a daily load profile large population vehicles. obtained results show that peak loads occur during late evening early morning at different means. Interestingly, shows periods off-peak times curve. means can offer more flexibility improvement electric grid, summative EV vehicles smooth pattern will not affect national system.
